Carriage Room
A pair of horse-drawn sleds rest on hand hewn ceiling beams. One of them was owned by the father of Phebe Gregorian (Arthur's wife), the other acquired decades ago. Currently the main showroom for Furniture by Dovetail, it is romanced with Gregorian Oriental Rugs. The combination of the two uniquely beautiful artisan products helps our clients visualize their own environment, as they are selecting the perfect rug for their home.
Cypress Room
Built onto the old mill in the 60's, this room's walls are paneled with a rare and unusual wood found only in the Everglades of southeast Florida. As you enter the Fireplace Room from the Old Mill Room, notice the beaded "welcome" sign made of Khar Mohreha, donkey beads. Made of clay with a lapis glaze, the beads are traditionally woven into donkey or horse blankets to avert the evil eye and keep away bad luck. The tradition is that if the eye sees something of true beauty, it won't see the temptations of the world. Built over the old garage, the Fireplace Room desplays many unusual and interesting rugs from villages and urban looms...

In use, the cartoon is usually hung on the loom, and when many weavers work together on a large loom a chanter may sit to the side calling out the wool colors "4 red, 3 blue, 5 brown" in a...
