Meles is a village located
on the Turkish coast, many of the rugs woven there tend to be rather long
and narrow. This rug is of a typical prayer rug size and like all Meles carpets
it is woven on a wool warp. The bottom selvage end is nearly intact and quite
intricate. The colors have an overall softness, the two most prominent colors
being coral and light green. |
