Khorassan is a province
in northeast Iran the capitol is Mashad. This rug combines the classic Tree
of Life design within the arch of a prayer rug. The colors have softened
with time revealing a subtle mix of indigo blues and corals on an antique
ivory ground. This Khorassan was woven in the early 1900’s and is unrestored
in excellent condition. |
